
Portugal will once again experience the thrills of Formula 1, with the Belém area in Lisbon becoming the stage for the first edition of Red Bull Showrun, with a route along Avenida da Índia between the Museu dos Coches and the Centro Cultural de Belém. The unprecedented presence of the Red Bull Racing team is scheduled for 25th June 2023, with the impressive RB7 showing its full potential.
New York, São Paulo, Mexico City and Istanbul are some of the cities that have already hosted the Red Bull Showrun, a motorsport demonstration that has passionate fans from all over the world. In 2023 it is Lisbon's turn to join this spectacle, after the country having enjoyed hosting a Formula 1 race in Portimão in recent years. The event will be free to the public, and highlights the Red Bull Racing team as the main attraction. An array of activities, including drifting, motorcycle displays, music performances, and a Marcha dos Mercados de Lisboa parade, form an exceptional programme of events.
The Red Bull Showrun Lisbon showcases an F1 demonstration featuring the impressive RB7, the V8 car that propelled Sebastian Vettel to become the Formula 1 World Champion in 2011, and will be driven by former British F1 driver, David Coulthard. The event is divided into two areas: a Paddock situated in Praça do Império, open to the public in the morning (from 9am to 1pm), and a one-kilometre track located at the heart of Avenida da Índia (between the Museu dos Coches and the Centro Cultural de Belém), where all the action kicks off at 3pm.
